The sarcoid slowly changed shape and developed a hard outer crust. When peeling off the crust (whatever wanted to come off easily), the sacroid had become a blood filled bubble.

The sarcoid increased further in size, the hard crust getting stronger and peeling off by itself.

Our mare developed a sarcoid at the beginning of the year, my first experience with a sarcoid on our horses.
I read a lot about Vermate in the past and decided to give it a try.
We started applying the Thermal Mud on 11 May 2025 and kept a photographic record as treatment progressed.
Treatment: twice a day, on the cleaned sarcoid, supported by 15ml of Vermate in the evening feed.
The location of the sarcoid was between navel & teats. So no wrapping or bandaging has been applied.
Our mare is not ridden, lives a healthy, balanced and stable herd life, outdoors with no stable confinement. Stress levels are low.
