Harness Natures Healing Power with Therapeutic Thermal Mud

THERMAL MUD

We created Thermal Mud knowning that many wild animals have a natural inclination towards wallowing in mud, a behaviour rooted in instinctual and therapeutic benefits.

  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Wound Healing
  • Effective Growth and Sarcoid Treatment
  • Heals Muscles and Tendons
  • Prevents Injuries

Thermal Mud is a mineral-rich treatment that aids recovery, soothes skin, and supports overall well-being. Rooted in biology and backed by science, this topical remedy is designed to complement internal gut health by addressing inflammation, promoting healing, and restoring balance from the outside in. More than just mud, it’s a vital part of whole-animal wellness.

Animals and humans alike love the mud, and with good reason.  Its a successfull and widely used product that gets the job done.

THERMAL MUD MAGIC

The therapeutic attributes Thermal Mud offer a natural and effective means of promoting health, healing, and injury prevention in both animals.

Microminerals present in mud are readily absorbed through the skin, enriching the body with essential nutrients. The diverse microbial composition of mud helps speed up wound healing and protects against infections. Mud also has anti-inflammatory properties, which help reduce swelling and pain. Humates found in mud play an important role in distinguishing between healthy and diseased cells, which makes it useful in the treatment of growths and sarcoids. Mud also helps accelerate the healing process of muscle and tendon injuries, and applying mud after intensive workouts can help prevent injuries before they start. In addition, mud acts as a natural barrier, helping to protect the skin against harmful sun rays.

Vermate & Thermal Mud probiotic products are formulated based on scientific insights drawn from animals’ behaviours and environments

Importantly, a lack of diversity in these crucial components weakens the immune system leaving them susceptible to various diseases and illnesses. And undermines optimal performance.
We address this imbalance by providing effective products that restore and maintain their health.

THERMAL MUD FOR SPORT HORSES | RECOVERY & PERFORMANCE CARE

In this video we show how we mix, apply and use Thermal Mud as part of the routine care for sport horses. Whether horses are competing, travelling, or in regular training, their legs, tendons and muscles go through a lot of stress, and proper recovery and care is essential to keep them performing at their best.

Orion was injured in the paddock, and the vet stitched him up, but by the second day, the stitches tore out, and the wound was wide open. They brought her to me with plans to put her down. I cleaned the wound and immediately started applying Thermal Mud. We tried bandaging without the Mud, but it didn’t hold. So I had the vet remove the excess skin, and from then on, we treated it as an open wound. I applied the Mud three times a day and used purple spray on the edges to keep flies away. The proof is in the pictures—the wound healed completely.

I have a mare with terrible sarcoids on her body and face. Treated body with chemo treatment for a few weeks but could not treat the face with the same treatment as it is too close to her eye. Treated face with another product without any success.

She has been on Vermate for a long time and has done wonders for her condition. Then I recently heard that the Thermal Mud can be used to treat sarcoids and being desperate I decided to give it a go. I applied Thermal Mud twice a day and kept her flymask on to try and keep it in there as wrapping was quite impossible. Within 2 weeks the big lumps fell off and left a raw spot so I continued to treat that with the Mud. It has been almost a month and it’s looking great with no regrowth.
