I shudder to think what the future of this poor girl would have looked like

The mare in these images is called Arabella, she was rescued in March last year. We took over her care six weeks later and had her admitted to Vetscape for the surgical removal of multiple sarcoids.

She had one the size of a small watermelon, larger than a sweet melon, on the side of her abdomen, a large one on her face, multiple smaller ones on both sides of her abdomen, a large one on her pastern, and two huge ones by her teats. She was about eight months pregnant, and we could not afford to wait and treat her conservatively, as she would not have been able to feed her foal at all.

Having previously used Thermal Mud for severe wounds and tendon and ligament injuries with great success, I had never treated sarcoids before. We had also used Vermate to help severely underweight and compromised rescues, and the results were outstanding.

When Arabella was discharged from Vetscape, we were advised that the sarcoids would likely grow back once she had foaled. I asked the vet what would be the best and safest form of treatment to keep them under control, and the vet recommended Thermal Mud and Vermate. Both are natural, and the ingredients are not harmful to the foal.

We started applying the Mud and giving her Vermate as soon as we saw evidence of their return.

We had a period of about a month when we could not afford to buy the Mud and Vermate, and the growth was accelerated and alarming, a clear indication of how effective they were. We have not missed giving them to her since.

From this evidence, I know that the combination of Thermal Mud and Vermate has kept the sarcoids under control. I shudder to think what the future of this poor girl would have looked like. I do not believe either she or her foal would be alive and thriving today.

Her coat is gleaming, she is round, still looks pregnant , and most importantly she is happy and comfortable. Consistency is the key. Never give up, because Thermal Mud and Vermate work miracles.”
